Animal Tracking on Snowshoes (Ages 8 to adult)
Please note, this event has expired.
The winter landscape tells a fascinating story if we learn to read its language. What signs do animals leave behind as they do their daily activities? What animals are active in winter? Find out on this snowshoe adventure with the park naturalist.
Bring your own snowshoes or borrow ours for free. You can even use the snowshoes for an extra hour if you’d like. No experience necessary. Dress in warm layers and be prepared to walk up to 1 mile. Snowshoes will fit over your winter boots. If there isn’t snow, we’ll still go animal tracking on a hike.
Meet at the Visitor Center at 1:30 p.m. This program has limited space. Reserve your spot by emailing Sean.Hoppes@state.mn.us or by calling Sean at 651-433-0500 x227.
