PBS SCREENING: THE VIETNAM WAR BY KEN BURNS

Join Twin Cities PBS at the Stillwater Public Library on Wednesday, September 13 for an exclusive first look at clips from the film followed by a candid community discussion.

Ken Burns and Lynn Novick’s ten-part, 18-hour documentary series, THE VIETNAM WAR, tells the epic story of one of the most controversial events in American history as it has never before been told on film. Premiering nationwide on PBS stations September 17th, the series explores the human dimensions of the war through personal testimony of nearly 80 witnesses from all sides. We look forward to your participation in this healing and courageous conversation.

This special screening event is part of the MINNESOTA REMEMBERS VIETNAM initiative. This collaboration among the Minnesota PBS stations features an online Story Wall, various documentaries, and a series of public screenings and commemorative events to remember, honor, and understand this tumultous time in history. Learn more about the intiative here.
