Young Scientists Discover Mini Monsters

Kids, bring your adult with you for a morning of hands-on outdoor exploration. You’ll use cups and nets to search for the tiny creatures that call the park’s potholes home. Then, use a microscope to get a better look. Before you go home, you’ll get tips on how you can continue the outdoor adventure in your own backyard and even share what you find with others.

This program is best for ages 7-11, but older or younger siblings are welcome to follow along. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather and pack a snack. We will walk less than a mile, with some uneven ground along the way. Meet at the park’s visitor center (at the north entrance of the park near the stoplights in Taylors Falls).
