Have you seen someone paddling a kayak and thought it looked fun? Ever wondered what you need to get started on a kayak adventure of your own?
Join the expert staff of the Wild Rivers Conservancy for an introduction to kayaking at Washington County’s Square Lake Park. Together with a small group of your peers and two trained instructors, you’ll learn the basics of properly fitting a life jacket, how to hold your paddle, and common paddling techniques. SUITABLE FOR AGES 8 AND UP. NO PREVIOUS PADDLING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Once you’re in your kayak on the water, you’ll get the chance to practice your new skills as we paddle along the shoreline. And before you know it, you’ll be ready to explore the lake at your own pace.
