Thi Ngoc Dao Vu presents Vietnamese Traditional Music performing on 4 instruments: dàn tranh zither, dàn b?u monochord, dàn tam th?p l?c dulcimer, and dàn tr’ung bamboo xylophone . This concert is FREE.
Ms. Thi Vu was born into a traditional musical family in Vietnam, and began music when she was 3 years old. From the age of 10, Ms. Vu started studying music at the Music Conservatory of Saigon, Vietnam. She specializes in the performance of four instruments: dàn tranh zither, dàn b?u monochord, dàn tam th?p l?c dulcimer, and dàn tr’ung bamboo xylophone . As a professional musician, she has performed widely in Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, Hawaii, Virginia, Texas, and Minnesota. She has also had extensive experience as an educator and served as a music instructor at Saigon South International School for over eight years. Since 2018, Ms. Vu has lived in Minnesota, and founded the Vietnamese Traditional Music of Minnesota non-profit organization to promote the culture of Vietnam through art and music. This concert is FREE and open to the public.
