Learn why the St. Croix is one of the best places in the world for mussels to thrive on this educational paddle, led by Naturalist Amy Carrier and National Park Service, Ranger Marian.
Explore mussel habitat up close from Minnesota Interstate Park to Osceola Landing as we learn to identify several of the many species that call our riverway home. Along the way, we’ll find discuss the threats facing these marvelous mussels and the efforts the Conservancy and National Park Service are doing in partnership to conserve these ecologically important mollusks.
This is a fully supported paddle – You will be provided with a kayak, paddle, and PFD, as well as a shuttle service from your cars to the initial canoe/kayak landing.
