The next Arcola Mills Open House will be on Sunday, July 22 from 1:00-4:00 PM. This month’s partner: Twin Cities Urban Sketchers. Tours of the historic mansion, and self guided tours of the property and hiking trails avaliable.
July 22, 2018 – Arcola Mills Open House. Two tours will be offered, for $5 per person. Tours are ticketed, however, use of the hiking trails and self guided tours of the property are complimentary. First tour begins at 1:30 PM, second tour at 3:00 PM.
This month, we welcome our Open House partner, Twin Cities Urban Sketchers.
“Urban Sketchers is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to fostering a global community of artists who practice on-location drawing. Our goal is to promote this practice of on-location drawings in order to connect people around the world who draw where they live and travel. We approach our drawings with the eyes of an explorer, discovering new territory or rediscovering our own cities through the act of sketching.
Urban Sketchers is a supportive group with the objective to raise the artistic, storytelling and educational value of drawing, and an opportunity to network with sketchers all over the world, sharing work and inspiration online.
Our local chapter, The Twin Cities Urban Sketchers, meets once a month at various locations throughout the metro. It’s free, and all are welcome.”
