Shakun Maheshwari, an artist from India, will share information on the use of textiles in India and textile art such as block printing, batiks and fabric painting.
Shakun Maheshwari learned traditional folk arts from her mother and aunts in her native India. She is also formally trained as a graphic designer and photographer and loves to create. During her presentation learn about Indian culture, textiles, motifs, and the art of batik and block printing.
Event is free to members of Hudson Heritage Quilters. The fee for non-members is $5.00 and is payable at the door.
