Ever wonder what snowshoeing is all about? This is your chance to find out!
Enjoy a winter nature experience with just you or the whole family. The park naturalist will give a brief how-to-snowshoe lesson and lead a walk through a winter landscape.
Bring your own snowshoes or borrow ours for free. You can even use the snowshoes for an extra hour if you’d like. No experience necessary. Dress in warm layers. Snowshoes will fit over your winter boots. If there isn’t snow, we’ll still go for a nature hike.
Meet in the Visitor Center at 1:30 p.m. This program has limited space. Reserve your spot by emailing Sean.Hoppes@state.mn.us or by calling Sean at 651-433-0500 x227.
Already know the basics of snowshoeing? Check out our other program, Animal Tracking on Snowshoes, offered on some Saturdays in March.
Free program. All vehicles entering the park must display a $7 daily or $35 annual MN State Parks Pass. Purchase either one at the entrance station.
