Paintings, metal works and art pottery pieces ranging in size from small to large will be available for purchase. “We are delighted to assemble the work of these talented creators.” said owner Martin Stern. “Art is a reflection of the moment and viewing it helps us appreciate life, here and now.” We invite you to come to Afton and see a wonderful collection, as we transform our business into a gallery space for an extraordinary two week exhibit.”

More about the artists:

James Wilcox Dimmers, acrylic paintings, Osceola, Wisconsin. Dimmers is considered one of the foremost painters of the St. Croix River Valley. His use of dynamic color and movement engage the viewer. Dimmers paintings are included in major corporate and private collections across the U.S., Europe and Canada.

Lisa Elias, metal work, Minneapolis, Minnesota :  Elias is an Artist/Blacksmith from N.E. Minneapolis where she has had studio for more than 20 years, producing works of public and private art and collaborating with designers and engineers.

Ruth Oseid Johnson, oil, Minneapolis: Returning to her Minnesota roots as a painter and printmaker, Johnson’s work focuses on the effects of light in interior settings and landscapes along with the subtle interactions between people and their environments.

Angie Malin, oil, Stillwater: A midwest resident her entire life, Malin’s work reflects an appreciation for the changing landscape from season to season as a Plein air painter.

Mary Jo Van Dell, oil, Marine on St. Croix: Van Dell finds inspiration in the wilderness of northern Minnesota and beyond, and her uncluttered and quiet work has gained her a strong following, including pieces in the permanent collections of the Minnesota Historical Society and the National Park System.

Kerry Brooks, ceramics, Minneapolis: Brooks is owner/founder of DOCK 6 Pottery, producers of nationally distributed tableware and ceramic art objects.  She will display her colorful and whimsical garden totems at this year’s show.
