A ‘Pop-Up’ Book Club – A discussion of diversity in America

Staff is often asked if there is a book club offered at the library. Yes! A monthly book club for mystery book fans has been ongoing for many years. Newly developed and launching in March, our staff will also periodically offer ad hoc book discussion groups centered on varying topics, which we call ‘Pop-Up Book Clubs.’ For our first endeavor, four celebrated books on migration, racism, and discrimination were selected from a recently compiled list. The four non-fiction books are:

Read one or more and join staff members for a discussion. No one will be put on the spot to give a report or summary; we are planning to talk about what stretched us, and the impact these issues have on our community.
