Held the last Friday of the month we travel the St Croix Valley in search of creativity, hidden gems, and exclusive behind the scenes tours. Meet valley artists, venues, and people doing cool things.
Includes: Narrated by Heather Rutledge, ArtReach Executive Director, admission to 4 – 5 unique experiences, historic locations, tasting opportunities, meet and greet with artists, test your own creativity, plus lunch, wine, water, snacks, and a trolley of fun! Limited to 32 people.
Check out the August itinerary:
Our first stop will be just a short trip from Stillwater as we find this 1840’s Greek revival mansion and sawmill hidden in the now defunct village of Arcola. Now called Arcola Mills, we will be able to roam the grounds, trails, and tour the house, and envision the future renovation of the riverside sawmill.
Thanks to the Stillwater Zephyr Theatre, we will be entertained on the Arcola Mills lawn by a group of Stillwater High School actors who will present a mini version of “Newsies” just for our group while we enjoy our locally sourced picnic lunch and glass of wine.
Our trolley will continue to take us back in time to visit a Swedish immigrant homestead. The buildings at Gammelgarden, the “old farm” have been beautifully restored as our guide shares the history and traditions of this group of hardworking people with their own unique building style. Visit the gift shop and take home your own dala horse. 10% discount for our group today.
Have you ever wondered what the heck Kombucha is?? Today, staff of the Marine Mills Folk School will share with us all about bacteria, yeast, flavoring Kombucha and other healthy “make at home” beverages and what makes them so good for us. We get to hear, see, and taste during this Kombucha 101 class.
This tour is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs and uneven surfaces.
Tickets are $79/each and include: guided trolley tour, admission to 3 – 5 unique experiences, lunch, wine, water, snacks, and a trolley of fun!
