Join Dan Chouinard and other performers for a magical night of music, poetry, and engaging interviews to celebrate Earth Day 2020 and the St. Croix River watershed.
Dan Chouinard is a nationally known, local treasure as pianist, accordionist, singer/songwriter, and mentor for musicians. He has been celebrating Earth Day for 16 years in the St. Croix River Valley. In his annual show, Chouinard and other performers engage the audience in a magical night of music, poetry, and prose in celebration of our beloved St. Croix.
This year, he is collaborating with North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Joining Chouinard will be The River City Quartet, featuring John Chouinard; the River Singers; and other performers, all of whom share Chouinard’s passion for the river and the Earth. Sharon Day, a well-known Ojibwe elder, will speak about her experiences with the Nibi (Water) Walk from the source of the Willow River near Clear Lake 42 miles to the St. Croix in Hudson.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $18 for students and youth.
Tickets are not refundable. Tickets may be exchanged for another performance in the same season for a fee of $2 per ticket, if you notify The Phipps prior to the performance. Unused tickets may be returned for a tax-deductible donation receipt.
