Franconia Dinner & Discussion with Visiting Artist Alberto Aguilar
Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 6pm
Franconia’s longstanding “Dinner & Discussion” lecture series invites the community to engage with visiting artists in a fun and informal setting. Artists give a one-hour presentation on their work, followed by dinner and a community dialogue about the work.
Alberto Aguilar is a Chicago-based artist who uses whatever materials are at hand as a way to connect with the viewer. His work bridges media—from painting and sculpture to video, installation, performance, and sound—and has been exhibited at museums across the US including: The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago; The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit; Palo Alto Art Center; National Museum of Mexican Art; The Queens Museum; Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art; The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art; the Minneapolis Institute of Art; and the Art Institute of Chicago. He holds a BFA and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
$10 suggested donation for the dinner.
