Join the Stillwater Public Library and AAUW for a program and discussion on how to start and continue conversations on race, equity and inclusion.
How to Start and Continue Conversations on Race, Equity and Inclusion will be the subject of a virtual program and discussion presented by Stillwater Public Library and the St. Croix Valley Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).
The program will begin with a half-hour video featuring Dr. Taharee A. Jackson, a well-known expert on anti-racism, equity and justice. A discussion will follow at 7:30 PM, focusing on issues raised in the video and including conversations about our own life experiences dealing with racism; to what extent do we–both white and black people–suffer from unconscious bias; what are the responsibilities of white citizens to be pro-actively anti-racist.
Program is via Zoom. Registration is required. An email will be sent after registration with Zoom meeting details.
Program is online, free, and open to public. Registration is required to receive Zoom meeting details. For questions, please visit stillwaterlibrary.org or call 651-275-4338.
