A low impact exercise, tai chi is a great physical exercise for seniors that helps boost blood flow, flexibility, balance, and mobility.
Tai chi is sometimes described as meditation in motion because it promotes serenity through gentle movements, thus connecting the mind and body. Wear loose comfortable clothing. No experience necessary. All you need is a sturdy, armless chair and a bottle of water for hydration. Jan Johnson is an educator in the Health and Wellness field who specializes in gentle styles of Yoga and Tai Chi.
