The Huguenots: From Geneva to Hancock

Speaker Neil Simonson will discuss the Protestant French from the Reformation to the Sun King, as well as the French Diaspora, including the direct migration to the U.S. and Canada.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the French-American Heritage Foundation of Minnesota (FAHF) presents speaker Neil Simonson who will give a presentation on French Huguenots at the Washington County Heritage Center from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. During his talk, Neil will provide an outline of the Protestant French from the Reformation in 1517 through the 16th century, the French Wars of Religion through the Edict of Nantes and its repeal, and up to the Sun King (King Louis XIV).
